Organbooks is an ongoing series of folded cardboard books into which holes are punched. They are normally used to mechanically drive street organs. Historically, they were invented to automate musical performance, an ideal that was never really achieved. They are also one of the early examples of binary coding and recorded music.
Most of the books I made were initially not created with the intention to play them, but are interpretations of existing visual works.
