Blackburg is the result of a collaboration between the composer Ramon Bischoff and three musicians Aurora Pajón Fernández, Emile Van Helleputte and Stanislas Pili.

The focus of the group was the search for a sound structure for the documentary film and the sound installation for the 100th birthday of the artist Werner Schwarz. The Werner Schwarz Foundation exhibited a major retrospective to mark this anniversary in summer 2018. The film by Christian Knorr "The Anachronist - A Journey to Werner Schwarz" celebrated its premiere immediately afterwards.
